Video as Suburban Condition is a compilation of videos made with cheap video cameras and published on the net through channels like YouTube. They show different suburban settings shot in hand held video. In some of them, kids run through fences at night. In other videos, people on motorcycles produce as much smoke as possible by letting their back tire run in place. Others create rockets from Coke bottles, ride shopping carts or dance in parking lots. What these videos have in common are their protagonists' performance before a video camera and the visible anticipation of publishing the video on the internet.
