Tailoring Alterations/Garment, cut-up dressmaker’s pattern, 1100 x 840 x 50 mm, video, 2006

The instructions of a dressmaker’s pattern are applied to the pattern itself: cut along the dotted lines. Tailoring Alterations (Repairs) is a 10 minute video in which the gestures of cutting go backwards. Garment is the result of the cutting. Pattern cut and recorded in Vienna, video cut in New York.
