
Letting My Hair Grow (False Friends), two figurines carved by Hans Stock (1929–2014), wood, 271 × 83 × 71 mm and 265 × 90 × 69 mm, 2011
Haring asked the sculptor Hans Stock, known as Schnitzer Hansl, of Tux in the Tyrolean Alps to carve a figure in the round after her image Letting My Hair Grow. He made two versions, relying on his imagination for the back side.
