Gelatin's lecture at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt am Main, 13 December 2002
Gelatin provided more than just a slide show for a lecture on thier work at the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt on 13 December 2002. The preview of the At Your Own Risk exhibition involved an evening of recent art history, stunts and games performed by Gelatin, including the first public appearance of their piss-in-mouth fountain which caused such a furore in Salzburg in the following summer. The boys constructed a make-shift sky-scraper during the presentation, clambered up it and pissed over the edges, aiming into buckets on the heads of their colleagues below. Cascades of piss wowed the onlookers. A tombola involved the extraction of numbered balls from the arse-holes of the artists. Your winning number could have popped out at any point during the proceedings.
